Rippy Telling Stories On Telling Stories, her second album, Rebecca opens her heart in the most intimate ways, spinning tales built around those who mean the most to her. The emotional connection to her songs are obvious, but just as importantly is how she uses personal revelations to explore universal truths. Writing acoustic music that elevates souls with uplifting rhythms or hushes a crowd with quiet power, Rebecca proves just how entertaining and inspiring music can be in the hands of a talented singer-songwriter who has lived every word she sings. This album hit #6 on the NC Roots Music Report State Airplay Chart, and hit #34 on Roots Music Report's Roots Country Chart. |

Rattlers Which Side Are You On? The Flatcar Rattlers are a raucous Austin act with all the fixins. They mix up rootsy backwoods Appalachia with fast punk rock to make up a distinct new-timey sound implanted with mountain songs and murder ballads. Joel Weickgenant of Austin 360 described the bands performances as songster punk, uncorking a moonshine-laced attack that sounded as if it was conceived in a room somewhere in the North Carolina Appalachians, between a washtub bass and a stack of records by Hank Williams and the Clash. Their high octane live shows have created a nice buzz in a short time ranking them in the top ten of Best New Bands and Best Bluegrass Bands in the Austin Chronicles 2008-2009 Music Poll. Their new album is at EuroAmericana radio now. |

Dunn The Long Ride Home At Americana and Roots radio now. Indyweek.com says: "On his second album, James Dunnthe Raleigh singer/songwriter CMT described as 'one of America's top unsigned artists,' finds himself aiming for heartland rock and mostly landing. His voice is a dust-covered croon, comfortable and familiar like an old flannel shirt, and the arrangements back the songs with an aggressive Americana frame, more John Mellencamp than Bruce Springsteen. But where Mellencamp and Springsteen capitalized on the grit beneath the blue collar, Dunn reaches toward optimism in earnest." Stark Not Crazy Tonight Born in Austin and raised on the Blackland Prairie of Denton County Texas, Stark knows whereof he sings. Growing up, Stark was raised on the drone of a hot, dry southern wind, Church of Christ shape note singing, and the constant hum of AM country radio, with frequent visits to his grandparent's spread on the Guadalupe river in the Texas Hill Country. After moving to Austin to play trombone in the University of Texas marching band, Stark soon found his way into the bars and dancehalls where the redneck/hippie/alternative crossover was still in full swing. Inspired by the openly creative vibe and local legends such as Doug Sahm, Townes Van Zandt, and the ubiquitous Willie Nelson, R.G. soon layed down the trombone and started performing his own songs. |
